Life lesson: You are a World Changer
The word radical seems to have a negative connotation. Take a close look at its definition:
rad·i·cal/ˈradikəl/Noun: A person who advocates thorough or complete political or social reform. Adjective: (esp. of change or action) Relating to or affecting the fundamental nature of something; far-reaching or thorough
The call to be a World Changer sounds a bit like the call to be a radical believer, a radical Christian, a radical follower of Christ. Aren’t those people crazy? I am beginning to believe we have to be crazy NOT to live radical lives. We should be agents of change. Our lives should be noticeably different than nonbelievers. We should work for social reform. We should have a cause. We should passionately work to make our mark on society and the World. Our impact should be far-reaching, it should be thorough. We should be difference makers. This presents some great questions for consideration should you chose to accept the mission to change the world:
- What am I passionate about? (your cause)
- How has my life’s journey made me unique/different? (your testimony)
- Where do my talents lie? (your gifts)
- What is the one thing that defines me? (your purpose)
- What can I do today to change the world? (you plan of action)
Let me know your mission. How can I pray for you? Comment and I will pray and support your efforts to change the World!
I love this post Heather! I too have wrestled with the "World Changer" label. I think it's because for so long I thought that to be a World Changer you had to change the whole world at once. God has revealed to me though that changing my world-my family, my church, my community- is in fact changing the world. I love that God takes our efforts, big or small, and makes miracles happen with them. Some miracles we get to see now and some we won't know about until Heaven but they happen all the same. Ironically, I'm memorizing Ephesians 3:20-21 right now, "Now to Him Who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." :-)

Mk 4:8
Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they sprouted, grew, and produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!"
